Nu sunt sigur de corectitudinea testelor dar daca sunt corecte, atunci FX5800/Ultra cam are probleme. Despre ce vorbesc : http://www.3dvelocity.com/reviews/5900u/5900u_16.htm un link interesant IMHO. Uitati-va la diferentele masive dintre 5800 si 9700,

M-am dus si eu pe link-ul ala si m-am speriat ! :o Doamne fereste, asa de prost sa fie motorul de pixel shader de pe FX ?! Auzisem eu ca motorul PS de pe ATI este net superior celui de pe placile FX dar nici in halul asta !! :O Apropo asa zisa imbunatatire a performantei motorului PS de pe FX5900 se pare ca este o mare abureala daca rulezi testele fara "optimizari". And the winner is.........The FIC ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB. We compared these cards in every category we could think of and in the end, we saw better performance overall from the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Did the FX 5900 fail to impress us? No, not at all. We believe both cards are worthy of any good system but we do have to tip our hats to the excellent performance that the Radeon 9800 Pro has showed us here today.

dupa aceasta concluzie , si dupa diferenta de pret de 100$( fara tva ) deci 119$ dintre cele 2 placi , pot afirma linistit ca TOATA seria FX Nvidia are toata un raport calitate/pret foarte prost . singura placa competitiva a ramas TI4200 din toate placile Nvidia la ora actuala .

Deja ma uitasem dupa un 5900 Ultra!! Acum nu stiu pentru care producator sa ma uit. Inca sunt nedecis, dar as opta pentru cei de la PNY care dau si garantie pe viata..............

2. Nu stiu daca ai citit reply-ul de mai sus al lui Seth965, cu testul celor de la OCAddiction... oricum, recomandarea mea este tot un Radeon 9800 PRO, datorita performantelor foarte bune (comparabile cu ale GF FX 5900 U in majoritatea cazurilor) si a pretului mai mic.
3. Daca vrei totusi un GF FX 5900 Ultra (cu toate ca nu as intelege ratiunea cumpararii unei asemenea placi video) si daca banii nu sunt o problema, te poti orienta si catre alti producatori renumiti de placi video bazate pe chipuri nVidia (cum ar fi Leadtek, MSI sau Asus).
Iata specificatiile pentru:
- Leadtek WinFast A350 Ultra TDH MyVIVO
- Asus V9950 Ultra
- PNY GeForce FX 5600 Ultra AGP (128MB DDR)
- MSI FX5900U-VTD256
In functie de afinitatea pentru un anumit producator, de bundle-ul oferit, de metoda de racire si de culoarea pcb-ului (de ce nu?) poti alege placa dorita.
Insa ATI Radeon 9800 PRO il gasesti deja la Tape Computers cu 450$ fara TVA, in timp ce GF FX 5900 Ultra nu cred ca vei gasi prea curand sub 600$ fara TVA... Daca vrei sa te joci la 1600*1200 cu AntiAliasing 6X si AnisotropicFiltering 16X, poti incerca si varianta cu 256 MB de la ATI (costa insa 570$ fara TVA). Parerea mea este ca Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB este alegerea cea mai buna si, personal, aceasta placa as cumpara-o daca as fi in locul tau... cum insa nu sunt, alegerea iti apartine! Vei avea o placa video foarte rapida in ambele cazuri (ATI/nVidia)...
